「世界の終わりの後にクラブであなたが聞く音楽」 Peder Mannerfelt " Lines Describing Circles " ( Digitalis Recordings – DIGIV066 ) は幻覚の黙示録として2014年のベストアルバムの1枚。イギリスのある批評家がジギタリス・インダストリーズからリリースされたPeder Mannerfeltの” Lines Describing Circles ” の音楽を、サブ・ベース・ニヒリズム( sub-bass nihilism ) 、耳の暴力 ( aural mayhem” ) 、そして音の酸性雨 ( sonic acid rain )と形容し、これこそがスペースとエコーからなる”ダブテクノ”の本質であることを看破する発言をしていたが、彼の電子音楽は建築家にも似た3マイルの広いベースサウンドの深い円筒状のリバーブ、広大への憧れ、SF未来派として機械的な風景を描き、どこにも属さない「アウトサイダー・テクノ」である。2014年も終わろうとしているくそ寒い冬に、もうひとつ明るいニュースで衝撃だったのは、そのPeder MannerfeltのレーベルからリリースされたKlara Lewis – Msuic Ep。そこにはSpilljusによる " 非結晶音楽 " の概念を応用/編集し、サウンドトラックを築くためフィルム素材からのサウンド、フィールド・レコーディングとエレクトロニクスのメッシュから暗くロマンチックな気分を引き出し、無形のテクスチャーの内面化された世界＝非現実的でまだらでハイブリッドな電子音響スケープを描いている。
彼女はこの作品以前にEditions Megoから'Ett' というアルバムをリリースし高い評価を受けている。「 スウェーデンでの狭いアートとクラブの文脈の一部であることは本当にエキサイティングである 」、「 Transitions also fascinate me 」とルイス。1つのフェーズから音楽上で次のフェーズに行く瞬間いくつかの変遷が起こる。彼女にとってMannerfeltとの出会いも新しい接続を得るための大きな方法論であった。Klara Lewis、未知で新種のアーティストがまたひとり北欧から現れた。

Klara Lewis' debut release presents an electronically charged reconstruction of organic sound matter. 10 tracks featuring a wide variety of sonic material which is subjected to Lewis' unique approach to the sonic landscape. Field recordings, small sounds, samples, ambient pot holes, repetition, and giddy disorientation are all tactics deployed by Lewis. On entering these works we take a voyage through a series of audacious audio adventures, playful musical miniatures and choppy sonic seas. There is a human warmth to much of the material as Lewis expertly crafts musical matter from the living world. 'Ett' is an exemplary investigation as Lewis' reconfigures sounds of life itself, from the delirious to the tender. A bold vision from a bright new talent.

Bruce GilbertとGraham Lewisのドームが1980年から1981年の間に発表された " Dome " から " Dome 2 " 、 " Dome 3 " までの3枚の作品にみられるアートパンクの実験的テクスチャーとアトモスフェアは、すでに30数年も時が流れたというのに、2014年のいまも耳のそばでリアルに鳴り響いている。当時のレコードのなかでも個人的にも最も大事にしてきたものかも知れない。Editions Megoの創立者ピーター・レーベルクも、この作品をフェイバリットにあげ、あのペンシルで素描された美しいジャケットアートを壊すかのように、センスの悪いボックスケースで再発していたが、4ADからリリースされた当時、その衝撃は半端なかった。そのドームの片割れグレアム・ルイスの娘Klara Lewisが、父親を超える巨大な新しい才能と感性で、食器洗い機から列車、波、鳥の鳴き声などを少女が音響採集に熱中するように集めた音素材を、光のような有機の感触を持つ電子音楽に変容させている。その驚き以上に、あれから30数年といえど、あっという間に過ぎ去る時間の非情さに、気がつくといつの間にかぼくも歳取っていたんだと実感させられたこと、、、
